It's so comforting to know that there are people out there you are just like you. You made my day!!

Hope noone has already said this one....
You know you are a swimmer in the north when you have to put your swimcap in the sink and run hot water on it to defrost it. This happened to me yesterday and it was so frozen I couldn't even unfold it.
Just because it's absolutely freezing outside (like today -- brrrrr) your friends and family think you're crazy because you're going swimming after work everyday. Telling them it's an indoor pool makes no difference, you're still crazy!
When you get to the gym after work and start putting your suit on, it seems like you have stored them in the freezer all day. And stepping onto those flip-flops that were inside your bag all day in the car? Really makes you look forward to jumping in that heated pool!
You know you're swimming in the north when . . .
You grab your swimming bag, walk out to your car, toss the bag in the back seat, and drive over to the pool for your workout, only to discover that during the 20 minutes it took to get there (with the car heater running full blast) your suit has gotten cold.
