Probably from 95 degree temps and no rain for the last month. Soon they turn green again as August brings the first rains of the summer. August rains soon however become hurricanes and the leaves turn to a mushy brown from too much water. Later, as the hurricanes fade into fall, the leaves turn green for a short time before the arrival of winter when they will turn brown and fall off the tree into my yard. See? Leaves change color in the South too.
