Every now and then we unfortunately come across posts about injuries, pain and stuff like that related to swimming. So for those who just started swimming, got back into it,happened to be lucky up to this day to stay injury free or never experienced certain problems I suggest we mention all the possible negative consiquences that swimming can entail(which it could as any sport) and gather the info(links, web sites, advice) on how not to end up with this or that injury.
So if you had some experience with whatever part of your body(shoulder, elbow, knee, etc), let's share it with the others on how you dealt with that to alert everyone and also give them some advice on the preventive excersises that would strengthen that certain something to avoid injuries or just some tips on how not to become another "victim" of competitive world of swimming.
I believe more people end up with injuries just because we do not know much about them until they strike us, so, swimmers, let's GET EDUCATED!!!

I've been lucky to be mostly injury free except for pulled muscles now and then.
I just wanted to comment that there have been numerous posts on this board on dealing with shoulder problems. I suggest anyone looking for advice on shoulder problems, to try a search of the discussion groups and you should be able to pull up lots of good info.
