...a large group of (large) people file into the YMCA pool area on a Sunday afternoon and fill the bleachers, not to watch me finish my set, but to conduct a baptism. They stayed away from the lap swimmers.

    I had to buy special degreaser shampoo the last time I worked out in Galveston Bay. I haven't had to use a moisturizer in 6 months! On the bright side, I really slip through the water these days. We love Galveston here. The BOIs (Born On the Island-ers) keep us smiling and scratching our heads. Incredibly, when we were vacationing there this summer, I found out that Galveston doesn't have a pool for lap swimming. I guess they figure everyone can swim with the sharks and Man-O-Wars so why build a pool.
