...a large group of (large) people file into the YMCA pool area on a Sunday afternoon and fill the bleachers, not to watch me finish my set, but to conduct a baptism.
They stayed away from the lap swimmers.

You know you're swimming in California when the outside temperatire drops alll the waaaay down to 70, and everyone is complaining it's too cold! ;)
