I assume this questioned has been asked before - I searched but with no luck as the search requires a 4 character minimum. Anyway - if you're registered with USMS can you compete in USS meets or do you also need to register with USS? Thanks! Doc

Several swimmers in our area register and swim in USS meets, due to the lack of USMS meets. USA swimming has a website which can help you determine the registrar for your USS LSC (local swim committee) - many of the LSC are the same as USMS's LMSCs geographically. USS meets have slightly different rules, so be sure to check the USMS rule book in the appendices to view the rule differences (this is on-line on the usms.org website). USS meets are very interesting - especially when younger swimmers 9-10-11 year olds compete in a few open events. Good luck with USS swimming - the USA swimming season is underway, so a registration now is good for Sept 2004- Dec 2005. Anthony Thompson, LMSC Chair Missouri Valley and USS registered swimmer.
