Need Help With Newly formed college club team

Hi all, I'm a new member here and in need of some help. I have just recently formed a club team at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. I have almost 150 people interested and things are looking good. One of the main things we have not figured out was competition. Everyone is a former competitive swimmer and we want to have meets. We are going to become affiliated with Masters and go to meets in the area. However, we also want to swim in dual meets against other college clubs similar to ours. Does anyone know of any? Is there a governing body for college swimming (non-NCAA)? Does anyone have any clues on where I can find out more info? Thank you very much for your help! Mark

  • I went to CSU Chico right at the time they cut the swim program! We formed a club team for workouts. Unfortunately no one was ever organized enough to put together swim meets. So good for you :) That's great. My husband went to Southern Connecticut so I know there's a huge college swimming population back there. I would contact Tim Wise at Southern. He's really nice and has taken over a solid program (Division 2). He's got Ben Michaelson there. My husband said to check Bernal's Gators too. Good luck, and if you're looking for a long road trip, we swim against college teams occasionally in Walnut Creek! Karen
