To all you nice fellows who gave me info and encouragement before I had my hip rreplaced 2months ago. I was walking 3 weeks later without a cane, went swimming in three weeks and am now trying to get back in shape for next Nationals. No pain, flip turns are ok, no starts yet. Thanks again and see you at Nationals Best Susanne Schumann

Wow, you beat my recovery by weeks....way to go, I’m impressed! Both total hip replacements I’ve gone through required major bone graphs that required extra time to heal....but three weeks from surgery to the pool is GREAT! I suggest you baby that hip and take care of it. Many new hips are damaged due to the lack of pain where people get to feeling well and then place to much stress on them before they have time to heal properly. Every step you save now, you pick up on the back side. Good luck with your new hip! Kindest regards, Tom Ellison
