Swim Wear

Here's one for you guys. Again, I just got back into swimming after ten years off and love it. BUT, I just got my first set of speedo's shipped to me yesterday -- I ordered them off of the speedo website -- and needless to say, they don't fit like they did ten years ago! That said, I also ordered a pair of those jammers I think they're called. I had never seen those before until I was watching the olympics. Now those aren't that bad to put on and wear. But my question is, do people also practice in jammers? I don't see why they wouldn't, but I have heard from various sources that they have a tendency to get hot while you're swimming. Also, I haven't seen anyone else on the team wearing jammers to practice. Is there any truth then to people not practing in them because they get too hot and just use them for racing only? I was just curious, because man those speedo's are small and I'm sick of wearing my regular beach bathing suit to swim in. Any input would be greatly appreciated, on what I'm sure is a kind of dumb question.
