I am extremely interested in starting to take masters swimming classes at a local facility after a good first year of triathlon competition. I recently just 'watched' a class and has some intimidation by both the speed and the variety of strokes that were used. I'm limited at this time to free and ***.
Should I jump in, or take the time to learn butterfly/back. Honestly, I'm not sure I have the time or the patience at this point to learn new strokes, as I am still perfecting my freestyle stroke. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for you time.............

As a Masters Swimmer myself, I too had questions about joining Masters...
From the three months that I have been in Masters, I've gotten the opportunity to meet some great people. Unlike a high school swim team (which I was in) there aren't any qualifiactions or specifications. Masters Swimming is open to any swimmer of any level, whether you compete or just swim to stay in shape.
In other words, Join now! Life as you know it will have a major improvement.
