Beginner's Master Swim Question

I am extremely interested in starting to take masters swimming classes at a local facility after a good first year of triathlon competition. I recently just 'watched' a class and has some intimidation by both the speed and the variety of strokes that were used. I'm limited at this time to free and ***. Should I jump in, or take the time to learn butterfly/back. Honestly, I'm not sure I have the time or the patience at this point to learn new strokes, as I am still perfecting my freestyle stroke. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for you time.............

  • By all means go and join in!!! You don't have to do all of the strokes or even the entire workout. Our coach frequently changes the set for people who can't or don't want to do fly or back or whatever. Just this morning I had a little tweak in my shoulder and opted out of the fly and back portion of the workout. What is so nice about Masters is that it is for everyone! Enjoy:)
