Hi to everyone,
One particular quote of Brunstad recorded by Sportsillustrated.cnn.com is very inspiring: "I'm not blessed with a great amount of natural speed and talent, and that's why this is a wonderful example,'' he said. "Because I consider myself an ordinary person, attempting an extraordinary task.''
As far as I know he didn't get seriously into swimming before he was 40. George compensated his "lack of talent" with discipline, joy, love and faith. He is a Bible believing Christian which was not a guarantee for his success, but definitely a guarantee for joy on the way over.
Now the age range of successful swimmers has been widened from 12 (youngest) to 70 (oldest).
It's great to see in what a great shape a person can be at the age of 70 who has done exercise all of his life.
cheers,
Gerald
