I've belonged to the West Morris Y in Northwest NJ for 12 years. It's the most convenient for my daily workouts on the way to work. We do not now, nor have we ever to my knowledge had a Master's team. (I've suggested one, even volunteered to help organize-but have received no response) I know I would improve with coached workouts, but joining another Y to swim with a master's group 1-3 times a week is not something I can afford.
Does anyone out there know another option that won't break my bank?

The internet Swimmer's Guide lists Bob Hopkins at (973) 903-3198 as the contact for the Masters swim team at West Morris YMCA. Even if that information is out of date, it would seem to suggest that there was, at least at one time, a Masters swim team there.
That had to have been quite some time ago. I've gotten no response from anyone at the Y when I've asked about Masters-so my assumption was that Bob was no longer there.

There's a different number listed for West Morris.
I would probably join a structured workout myself,
but I find that the schedules never jive
so I'm left to my own devices ( and this site )
for coming out with workout ideas
and pacing myself against other swimmers in the
pool and not telling them.
