Does anyone else out there swim alone and not with a team? I have been doing this for about nine months now, and have used meets as the means of keeping me motivated. Now after Spring Nationals, I find that even trying to swim a mile three to five times a week tests my patience....I just get bored really quickly, and trips to the pool become less and less appealing.
I'd like to return to 2 mile workouts to be in shape for some of the events I'd like to tackle at state next month - mainly distances over 50 and 100. This weekend I tried some 200 meter events and tired out too early. Any suggestions on how I can become a stronger swimmer, beat the boredom, and become more motivated?
Thanks!

Maybe you're burning out? Try to take a break, if you can... Try varying your workouts... i get bored really easily, which is why I depend on coached workouts (although those can test my patience as well... I'm not much of a people person, esp. at 5.30 am :))...
Good luck with it!
