I have not swum long course in many years and realizing it is different for everyone but what some of the people out there use as a "personal conversion factor" between short course yards and long course meters.
of course there are those people who find it very difficult to swim even remotely close to the converted times using any of the methods described here.
Yes for me some of them work, for others, they're so far away, its comical. I've swam every event in every course for the past few years. So I've got some history to work with, some of my events are close to swiminfo.com conversions but not all.
Just keep in mind, what kind of pool you're regularly working out in. If it isn't long course add some more time in. And remember those will be your new base times in LCM....
