I have not swum long course in many years and realizing it is different for everyone but what some of the people out there use as a "personal conversion factor" between short course yards and long course meters.

A meter is approximately 10% further than a yard, but I add 12% to a short course time to account for the greater number of turns in short course. Adding 12% seems to give me a fairly accurate estimate (surely better than adding 10% would).
