Don't you just love it!

So I asked y'all about my tennis elbow, and you told me (in part) to get a coach to look at my stroke mechanics to see if something I've been doing is part of my problem. So I got a coach to take a look, and he basically told me that I need to totally overhaul my specialty stroke (freestyle) to bring it into the 21st century - gave me "catch up drills" to do, and told me there's no two ways about it, I have to start breathing both sides. (I'm the most right hand dominant person I've ever met - I didn't even know I had a left side. I met me for the first time today.) When I decided I wanted to step it up to the next level, I never suspected that would mean going all the way back to the start. I LOVE this game!

  • Do you have access to a digital video camera? We did the video thing so I was able to see everything the coach was saying. What a mind blower that was. (They used to call me 'windmill' in age group. Now I finally know why.) I believe there might be a coach or two on this board who would be willing to take a look at a snippet of video if you could mail it or email it to them. That might be one way to find a coach. You could also perhaps contact a coach at a local school with a good program and see if they would be willing to meet with you. Good luck.
