I saw lots of great times for USMS and YMCA SCY meets. The one that blew me away was a 1:05 100yd back by a 65 year old man in the Y Nats...Yikes! What was the most amazing swim for you?

I had a great 100 fly, breaking a national record and my best ever at that distance, not "amazing" but a damn good 53.60. The amazing swim in the 50-54 age group was Trip Hedrick's 52.38. He simply blew us away. That was impressive, but his time in the 50 fly, 23.19, was even more amazing. When you check the results you need to get down to the 25-29 age bracket with Sabir Muhammed and others to find anyone faster. Hedrick not only set records in the fly, he also broke the national record in the 100 free and 100 IM (although Tim Shead did even better in the IM). Hedrick broke 4 national records and all this after recovering from a heart attack four years ago. His times were amazing enough, but when we appreciate that he worked to reach this level of speed after a heart attack, well, I don't know if anyone could have had a better meet! Truly amazing.
