at my local health club, and won!
i just want to thank all of you who had this battle in the past--it was all of the advice that I read that helped this problem to be solved.

Is there such a thing? I've never encountered it.
First, jump or dive in and get the shock over with. It doesn't do you any good to ease into the pool.
Second, swim harder. If the pool's too cold at first, it won't be after you get the blood moving.
Unless you're talking about a 60' pool or something, but like I said, I've never heard of a pool that was too cold.
