A question for all those crazy swimmers out there. I received stitches in my right index finger and was wondering how soon i could return to the water after the stitches come out. What is the shortest time that anyone has hit the water after stitches? Is it possible to go swimming with them in? maybe just wrap them up real good? Thanks for the input!

I once tried swimming with a fistglove on to cover stitches in the hand. I tried taping the opening at the wrist to keep water out, but couldn't get a seal good enough to not leak. I ended up kicking most of the time with the hand wearing the fistglove up on a kickboard. It's better than nothing.
