I am six months pregnant and looking for some new ideas for my swim workouts. I usually swim three times a week and have been doing between 1,500 and 2,000 yards a workout. My favorite has been to swim a half mile and then do a set of 10 by 100 - alternating kicks and pulls. I was hoping for any suggestions that helped other women prepare for their pregnancies. Also, is flip turning going to become a problem? This is my first post and I'm looking forward to hearing any suggestions!

I was hardly ever in the pool with my first child. There were no pools nearby where I lived at the time. Yet at the age of five she can swim all four strokes at least a full length of the pool. I think if she really wanted to she could do a 100 I.M.
I was in the water working out all the time with my second one. Everytime I take her into the water she curls up next to me and looks like she is going to fall asleep. We'll have to see if she becomes a swimmer someday. She'll have to learn not to fall asleep in the middle of a swim. (just a note- she'll be one on Easter Sunday. I can't believe it's been a year already. It's amazing how time flies.)
