I am six months pregnant and looking for some new ideas for my swim workouts. I usually swim three times a week and have been doing between 1,500 and 2,000 yards a workout. My favorite has been to swim a half mile and then do a set of 10 by 100 - alternating kicks and pulls. I was hoping for any suggestions that helped other women prepare for their pregnancies. Also, is flip turning going to become a problem? This is my first post and I'm looking forward to hearing any suggestions!
I never had any trouble with flip turns all the way through my pregnancies. I think it's best to just try to do what you can and if it becomes difficult then back off.
Actually, I found it easier during butterfly to do butterfly because of the added buoyancy!
Workout suggestions:
Go to the workout forum and just reduce the sets down to a level that fits your workout needs.
Suggestion: KEEP SWIMMING. Don't stop.
