When considering the overall speed of swimmers in the past and present it seems that although times are still dropping for swim events there is a "dropping off"graphically of time improvement..now do you think this could mean that there will be an ultimate saturated speed time that will never get beat?i think that unless we evolve say webbed feet or the like then this is possible....thoughts?

  • I too am hysterical at this thread. At one point I thought Connie was going to say she was laughing so hard she had to pee, then I read "peel myself off the floor". Tom, are bloomers considered the latest in pulling gear? I was wondering what the drag factor would be? (and please read the following with the sarcasm intended) I'm sorry, but I must object. I AM from California after all, and you all must be politically correct. In order to keep from hurting people's feelings you must say they are POST bloomers. Ya know, saying "late" can connote negativity, and their self-esteem balloon may become deflated, and then who knows what might happen. No WAIT, I know who they might end up like... the VO2 max spokesEuropean, I mean person, no that's not right either...HELP!
