In light of us hosting the '05 Nationals, I think a question is in order:
Has anyone posting here swam at the 1979 Nationals, the last ones that were held at Mission Viejo Nadadores Pool? Do you know someone who did, or their story?
I know, it's a while ago.... Please share your memories with us :)

I swam there in 1977 nationals. Not masters though. I had the dubious honor of finishing dead last in the 100 back. Several guys were still trying to break 100 fly world record set by Spitz in 72. They didn't. Too long ago. I don't remember much else.
