Psyche sheets are up from Men's Div I NCAA to be held the weekend of March 25th at the "Goodwill Games" Pool on L.I.
You can check them out at: www.collegeswimming.com/
This year, they will compete SCM (as we discussed elsewhere our esteemed leaders decided not to compete LCM until more schools had 50 meter). The meters option is only for Olympic years.
The meet is likely to produce a number of NCAA records and a few world records (relays and some standout individuals).
Predictions for top five finish? Here's mine:
1) Auburn (Marsh accomplishes first back-to-back double/double)
2) Texas (proof that this is truly a team sport...you need more than 3 big horses to win)
3) Standford ("hollywood" of US swimming cannot win the big prize again)
4) California (the "other" bay area program with some truly incredible sprinters)
5) Florida (my heart's with Minn but have to pick the once again strong Florida program)
BTW, Kenyon men win their 25th consecutive title--the most successful NCAA program ever. Only one close is the Kenyon women 20 out of 21 national titles and Auburn wins narrowly over Georgia.
I'm pulling for the under"DAWGS"!! They've pulled off upsets before...who knows what can happen. UGA is known for rising to the occasion in the big meets. Should be exciting with lots of close races! GOOOOO DAWG, Sic 'em WOOF WOOF WOOF!:D
I watched the SEC championships on Fox Sports South last weekend. I root hard for the Dawgs but Auburn was dominant. They had up to 3 swimmers per final at times, amazing.

not this year-DIII's start today
You can't be serious, who is going to beat them? Emory, Hopkins? No way. Emory has a decent chance I suppose but not really.

Anything can happen I suppose but it wouldn't be wise to beat against Kenyon this weekend especially since they have 100+ alums in the stands cheering them on for their 25th title.

WAR EAGLE!! and I do believe the Auburn women will take the title as well.
Should be close. Becky Short just set an NCAA record leading off Auburn's 200 free relay but Georgia still finished slightly ahead in prelims. BTW, Natalie Coughlin was the third fastest lead-off swimmer..granted the 50 free is not her signature event.
