Speedo or TYR?

I am curious to what your preferences are regarding Speedo or TYR products (or other). I myself am a Speedo girl, and always have been. However, I recently bought a discounted TYR reversible suit for practice and it lasted way longer than any Speedo ever has. I'm tempted to buy TYR again, but do I dare switch loyalties? I like Speedo styles better - I've never been big on brand names at all, except when it comes to swimming - there's just something about Speedo.

  • Some of the best and long lasting suits were by Turbo. They used to do specialized team suits for HS, college, and clubs. The company disolved last year and the two major shareholders are currently in the swimwear business. Agon produces suits like Turbo used to and is advertised in the major swim publications. The other company is called Crotten and they produce under the trademark Turbo. They specialize in custom-dyed swimwear and water polo gear. I had 2 suits from Turbo that lasted longer than the name brands and just found out they are split into 2 companies. The ones I had look like the ones from Agon currently.
