What is the fastest age for a swimmer(mine seems to be faster as i get older and yes i swam as a youngster...now im 37..)?

Since there is only a 40-44 age group (and not one for "late bloomers") and you are nowhere near the top of that RECOGNIZED age group in the 1000, that must mean that despite your best efforts, you too are not in shape and therefore singing that chorus as well. Whatever it is you are doing is not working in the RECOGNIZED age group standings, so the recommendation still stands: pay significantly more attention to technique, diet and mental prep and you will see results. Think less, swim (smarter) more.
