What is the fastest age for a swimmer(mine seems to be faster as i get older and yes i swam as a youngster...now im 37..)?

We know that many of the adaptations to exercise are lost when training stops. This begins within a few weeks, and it may take some time to regain what was lost. I'm not sure I understand physiologically how former collegiate swimmers are able to benefit from training that took place twenty years earlier. I don't believe it all comes down to technique.
By the way, an autopsy requires a dead swimmer. I suspect there are some who would "volunteer" Ion.
