What is the fastest age for a swimmer(mine seems to be faster as i get older and yes i swam as a youngster...now im 37..)?

Would that be referring to the words in the English Language Dictionaries (commonly in use here in the goold old U.S.), which lists both "recognize" and "recognise" as legitmate varients?
