What is the fastest age for a swimmer(mine seems to be faster as i get older and yes i swam as a youngster...now im 37..)?

I do the 400 I.M. too and I love it. I guess its the challenge in getting through it. My friends think I am crazy for wanting to swim it. Actually they think I'm crazy for swimming any of the long distance events.
