Does anyone else find that by doing 5/6 sessions a week for about 1-1 1/2 hrs each that the bags under their eyes get saggy and loose from wearing goggles for so long???:(

thats a good question msgrupp. I would say to wash them in a clorox bleach soultion every month. I have seen some Barracudas that were yellowed.nasty! but kept my mouth shut. The people probably did not know the foam is replacable and fairly cheap about 6 dollars. You might want to email Barracuda and tell them about the mold issue.

Oh Swedes. they have no gasket and are very low profile. Good for "drag racing " in the pool in a way! Some people love them. They are very inexpensive and sleek . However if eye irration is a problem they dont seal as well as the Barracudas. I should say seal as well for people who can wear the Barracudas. Sometimes they have to be finely adjusted. Another thing is when there brand new or have new foam they need to be tightened up good which some people dont like. The Barracudas are also good for people with contacts. I like mine and find them comfortable.

Yes true if theres no swim shop nearby. I am lucky as I have bought the kits for 6 dollars and just the foam for 3 dollars. I have bought the repair kit foam and strap ect from Kastaways swim shop ( They are on line ) but yes theres about 5 dollars shipping.. The only way around that would be to get a couple of kits or see if any one else at the pool needed any to share shipping. One tip with the replacement foam . I get all the old foam off then clean the lens good then dry and put some alcohol on the frame to get rid of any oil from the hands. then I pull the little foam plug from the screw hole and peel the paper and set the foam on the frame and push it down good. It has always worked out well for me. I should do a web page on this to my cap page as a lot of people don't know about the replacement foam.

While the foam on Barracudas is replaceable -- you need to find a place that HAS the replacement kits. No stores in my area sell these goggles anymore (since they are almost NEVER replaced or lost--they make no money like Speedo does for stores) so I have to go on the internet to find them. By the time you finish paying for the pads & the shipping--it's almost cheaper just to replace them. I did try it on one pair--less than satisfactory results in getting the pads placed exactly on the surface. Barracudas' maker DOES provide a service to refurbish goggles but again, by the time you pay their $7.50 s/h (which is what is was 2 years ago) & the price of the pads & labor--you're up around $20.
