Can anyone please give me some info on what they think is the best type jammer for meets and practice. I'm currently using speedo Splice jammers and they seem to wear out real quick. I also use a Dolphin jammer that seems to be wearing better than the speedo's. I'm thinking of getting a fastskin for meets only. Does anyone know if they hold up well? Are the speedo Aquablades just as good at half the price? Also, I'm not ruling out another brand.

The Speedo you have is a great Lycra suit, but because it is Lycra it wears out very quickly. I save my Speedo for competition only. I have a Nike 100% polyester jammer suit that is lasting forever. The fibers are not breaking down and the color is holding fast. But, it is a thicker and heavier material than Lycra. That's okay for the workout, though. There are suits that are combinations of different materials and as far as durabilty are in between a lycra suit and a 100% polyester suit. We have a good aquatics store in the area and they took a lot of time explaining the merits of them all.

A Fast skin will last you 5-8 meets. That has been my experience. I have several old fast skins suits, and when I wear them, they do not look the same underwater as my newest one.
Regarding practice suits: buy a speedo or nike polymesh suit. They last for 2-5 years if you swim EVERYDAY. They are not cut like your traditional speedo if you are concerned about that. Plus they give you a little extra drag. Here is a link (I HAVE NO offiliation with this website. They were the first to come up on google)
