Here's a silly question-- what color are your goggles? I've had a blue tinted pair for a long time, this morning the strap broke and rather than take the time to fix it I grabbed my back up pair. Same brand and type only the tint is 'smoke'. It was weird but I found them totally disorienting for the first couple of hundred yards. They were fine after that but it made me wonder anyone else has a color preference or loyalty.
For open water, only UV protecting, I like smoke during the day and lightly tinted at night, dusk and dawn. I like the tyr femme's for a smaller face. :)
depends on the season and time of day.
For night /early morning or days when it is cloudy (which means about 90% of my workouts) I go with the Nike remora amber tint - on the days (times) when there is sun then it is a smoke/metallic remora's or the tsunami racers. (and yes I am partial to nike goggles).
I wear sweeds and have tons of them so I switch colors alot jsut for fun and to be diffrent....But i liek the dark ones when I swim outside cause i hate the sun in my eyes.
Well, I swim both indoors and outdoors. I use clear indoors and I have one dark pair. When I swam back in the 1970's they just had clear pairs and they leak a lot worst than today. I image where Jeff lives it is cloudly a lot.

I prefer purple, but black and blue are also acceptable. Sometimes I go wild and have green, but red is out of the question.
So is orange!
yes, I like them clear too for indoors. otherwise, it's pretty dark. but, outside I really like blue. it just goes well with the water.
this upcoming spring and summer will be my first open water swimming--maybe I'll try a mask or something totally new.
come on warm weather...come on!
