Has anyone used the TI Butterfly/*** stroke DVD and accompanying drill book? Would they be helpful for someone having problems with the rhythm of both?

Venus, Yes, I have used the TI drills to improve butterfly. Both my own, and I have used them to teach fly to age groups swimmers for our summer league team (9 week season) with very satisfactory results. I have also found two articles by Emmett Hines that are useful. You can find them at his web site www.h2oustonswims.org Look for "Slip Slid'n' Away" and "Vive Le Papillon" Also, there have been a couple of recent discussion threads in this web site (something like Improving Butterfly and Training for 200 Fly) with some insights. Have not seen the new DVD, but I'm assuming most of the drills are the same, and the changes TI makes to its program of instruction have always been improvements, at least in my opinion. Had somewhat less success with the breaststroke drills, both personally and coaching. However, still some improvement. I'm not sure if that reflects a problem with the drills, or my poor understanding of breaststroke. I would defer to the master of the ***, Wayne, who contributes frequently to these threads. Matt
