Bill- I was going to post a helpful tome full of such pithy phrases as 'for your first meet work on your distance-per-stroke'; 'be careful not to get too excited and false start'; 'be sure to do an adequate warmup'; 'don't go out too fast, save something for the end'- but considering the theme of the thread & knowing this bunch as well as I do now, they might misinterpret my intention...
