A friend of mine has a son (age 11) who has been doing some great times in the 50yd. free that have been under 22 seconds. It's been a while for me and I don't know what kids are doing today but this seems pretty impressive. I'm telling him he has a star on his hands. What kind of times are kids doing today?

The national record is 22.54. Are you sure he's been under 22? If he has then he's beyond a star. The fastest 10 year old last year didn't break 25.
