  • OMGoodness - what part of the country do you live in? We don't have a masters team per se in Tallahassee, so to train with an actual team, we (I) are forced to swim with the USAS team - and that is $65/mo for up to 11 practices a week if I am so inclined. Entry to our pools is $3.50 a shot, unless you get an "annual pass" and then it averages out to $22/mo and entrance is unlimited, and includes all city pools. I also swim for a USA-S team. It's a flat fee for the school year and additional for the long course season. We only get about 2 weeks off from swimming and/or dry land a year. That gets me 4 morning practices and Sat practice. There are afternoon practices but I have a little one so I can't go to them. Without kids, I could go to 12 practices a week. This team is worth every penny. Oh and this is in the DC area and with one of the highest ranking teams in the country. The facility we practice in the mornings is a joint public/private one. That one I can go in on my own if I wish ($8 per visit or $400+ a year).
