sometimes i go to the pool full of grief from the days toils, however after a good swim i forget all of this and feel invigorated, this happens every time.If i go to the pool and have had a good day at work then i feel even better after the workout.Perhaps if some of the world leaders swam more often there would be less conflict...

i just got a winter pool pass to the YWCA near me, and so now i have been swimming everyday for a week. i tried to go at my university but they only have 4 hrs total for student swimming, and of course they are while i'm in class. but anyway i am a junior and a first year nursing student and majorly stressed out. even though i don't want to, all i can think about is nursing. i wake up in the middle of the night (if i do get a chance to sleep) with nursing stuff running through my head. well ever since i've started swimming again it has been awesome. when i swim i can't and don't think about nursing, its almost impossible too. i have other things to think about like stroke count, keeping my head still, trying to fix my crappy technique.....its so great though, its a nice little break from the world. i wish i hadn't taken such a long break from swimming, but i was kinda burned out and it wasn't fun anymore. now that i'm not competing (yet:) and don't have all the pressure i had while on a college team, swimming has become everything i loved about it in the first place.
