swimming for me has taken much of my time in the last 4 years, having read the distances some of you do and the frequency you swim, how do you fit swimming in with the rest of your life,i have a full time job and other hobbies which take up loads of time..i wish i could find the time and energy to swim more..any suggestions for the TIME and ENERGY bit.

  • Time- it all comes down to priorities. For me it’s limiting the amount of TV I watch and the amount of sleep I get. Also, I have a schedule of swimming times that I try to commit to each week and I look for alternative times if conflicts develop rather than writing off that work out i.e. working out over lunch instead of a scheduled night. Energy - eat right and be sure to refuel within 30 minutes to 1hour of working out.
