Conditioner for dead hair?

After reading Tom Ellison's brilliant discussion on VO2Max and hair cair :D , I am wondering what people are using to keep their hair from becoming straw. I did a search of threads, but they were either green hair or dry skin, not quite what I'm looking for. Wearing a cap during practice is impractical. I've been hit in the head a few too many times, so the cap isn't large enough to stay on. :p I'm guessing that most people will recommend UltraSwim or MalibuC (those were stocked at the local Kiefers). What I'm wondering is, are there any good products I would find in the *supermarket*. I saw a lot of products. Unfortunately, the packaging wasn't very, uh, manly.

If you are worried about appearances, you'll have to find a ""manly" container for my well researched product. It's L'Oreal Kids swim and sport shampoo. It comes in a blue container with an orange top. I give it a chance to work while I soap up in the shower. It works -- no more stiff frizzy hair. The best part is that 9oz. costs $2.64 at Target. It's one of those products that's always going on sale. P.S. I never wear a swim cap because I get too hot (my pool is kept warm for kids and seniors) and before finding the kids shampoo, I was beginning to rival Kramer in the hair department. Go for it. ---Carl After reading Tom Ellison's brilliant discussion on VO2Max and hair cair :D , I am wondering what people are using to keep their hair from becoming straw.
