After reading Tom Ellison's brilliant discussion on VO2Max and hair cair :D , I am wondering what people are using to keep their hair from becoming straw. I did a search of threads, but they were either green hair or dry skin, not quite what I'm looking for.
Wearing a cap during practice is impractical. I've been hit in the head a few too many times, so the cap isn't large enough to stay on. :p
I'm guessing that most people will recommend UltraSwim or MalibuC (those were stocked at the local Kiefers). What I'm wondering is, are there any good products I would find in the *supermarket*. I saw a lot of products. Unfortunately, the packaging wasn't very, uh, manly.

Yeah, it's sticky. I just had a mental image of my flamboyant transgendered hairstylist a couple of years ago putting his, er, HER hands into my hair for the first time, then snatching them out almost immediately and planting them firmly on her hips, saying, "Ew! You've been SWIMMING lately HAVEN'T you?" For the next half hour, between strange one-sided conversations about whether Britney Spears or Madonna was more talented, she intermittently scolded me for not taking better care of my hair.
