I was simply trying to understand the made up concept of "pure time". Since you mean a swimmers time say "time", not some created phrase. Now- do you expect Thorpe to have a better "pure time" , sorry time, every time he races? No, everyone peaks at some. Fact is he is the best in the world in 3 events. Regarding ramblings: "in breaststroke, there are right now something like eight Mark Spitzes world wide, and Moses is one of them." WTF! Please 'esplain Lucy. and typos (actually probably syntax): "in the 4x100 women free relay, U.S. won, anchored by an ace 53.xx from Jenny Thompson (U.S.)." The US team was anchored by a woman from the US? Surprise, Surprise
