My thoughts on fins, is that as you are learning or relearning. you can start out wearing fins. But after 10 laps with fins , you should stop and rest. Then proceed to swim without fins. Even if you only do one or two laps. Rest again, and do a couple ofmore laps with out fins. I doubt that you will get proper techinque or indurance with contious use of fins. Next when you enter the pool again do 6- laps with fins. But contiune to cut down on fins and contiune to do more laps with out fins. Fins could be come a habit that you might not be able to break .
