Question for the general audience: has anyone heard much about the upcoming FINA World Masters Championships in Riccione Italy on June 3-13, 2004? More specifically, has anyone heard what the qualifying times are likely to be?
I'm interested because I assume that with the meet in the heart of Europe that the QT's will not be trivial. This summer's season is my best chance to make any QT's, and I'd like to know what my targets will be. Are they likely to be the same as 2000 Championships in Munich? (I'd assume so.) Significantly faster? Will we need to provide evidence of swimming a QT? If there are any folks out there with a source in the FINA planning group, I'd love to know what they are thinking.
