I'm Betty. I am looking for a Master's Team somewhere close to where I am located in NorthWest GA... I used to swim competitively for my College back in 1995-1996. So it's been a few years...but I've been considering getting back into doing the swimming again. I loved it when I did it before.
I was talking to one of the kids I coach in Debate the other day and we were talking about swimming. And from that conversation stemmed my desire (yet AGAIN) to start swimming regularly. I had considered looking for something like this last year. But I damaged my LCL in my knee shortly thereafter and there was no real point in continuing the search b/c the Doctor would not clear me to swim at the time. Now it's almost a year later! I would LOVE to find someplace to swim with a group of people to keep myself motivated.
If anyone can point me in the right direction or even give me suggestions as to how to do it on my own, I would be very appreciative!

I would suggest you give a call or email Lisa Watson. Lisa is in charge of Georgia Masters Swimming. Her email address is GAChair@usms.org or by phone at (770)497-1901. Lisa is a great resource and can get you hooked up.
In fact last weekend, Lisa ran an excellent meet at the Mountain View Aquatic Center in Marietta. This is a bit of a drive from Rome, but it may be worth a look.
