Swimming Injury

Help! I was recently at a swim meet, where I hit the end of the pool while performing a flip turn. (The pool was really crowded and cloudy, I dunno) Anyway, I had to receive stitches in my heel because the skin split open, and I'm out of the water for 2 weeks. I need some ideas for dry land that won't leave me too far behind my high school team but at the same time wont stress my stitches, which are across the back of my foot (in my heel) Any help and ideas would be great! Thxx :)

sorry to hear that you are injured, but boy am I glad I am not the only one who has smashed her heels on the wall...I spent a month waiting for my heels to heal... As suggested above, core strength exercises are great. To keep your wind up and your arms moving you might try "dryland swimming" with surgical tubing (that stuff that aerobics classes have been using lately)
