Hello,
I will be in Chicago from June 30 to July 6. I've looked in the 'Places to Swim' and it seems there's MANY places to swim in the area.
Would anyone know of a masters team that would allow me to drop in say 2 or 3 times during that week?
I swim with Sun Devil Masters in Tempe, AZ....and a week off would be a bit much, especially with our long course meet coming in late July.
Also...if anyone knows of any swims in Lake Michigan, or other events that week, please share. There may be something for July 4th.

Hi Tim,
Check out the thread titled "Swimming in Lake Michigan." You may find some helpful hints there about where to swim. I just got back from Chicago and the lake was too cold for me to swim in. Perhaps finding a masters team to swim with would be a better idea so early in the season. Have fun in Chicago!

There are a lot of great Masters programs in the Chicago area.
Go to the CMSA website-Central for listing of teams in the area.

If you will be in Chicago (not the suburbs), Chicago Masters has a number of workout times. We train at PEB on the UIC (at Halsted and Roosevelt) Campus. Next week there is a modified schedule on the 4th (8-10 am only), the rest of the week (M-W, F) is normal 5:30-7am and 5-7pm, and Saturday 8-10. You can visit www.chicagomasters.com for more info.
