Blisters with fins

Hi, very basic question. My fins and zoomers very quickly produce painful rubbing on the inside top edge of my bid toes. I hear that fin socks are a good solution. Any thoughts on fin socks or other solutions? What brand is best? Will I most likely need to go up in fin size?

  • I've been using the DMC Elite fins, and have never had a toe, heel, blister or ankle cut since i started with them about 2 years ago. Think I could swim all day in them without a problem and sometimes have them on for most of 4k practice. They are silicone and still in great shape after 2 years. They are medium/short size (not ultra short or long) and on the heavy side (they sink) and have an open strap type heel. They are very hydrodynamic too. You can order them from DMC, an Australian Company, and it took about 2 weeks to receive them thru their importer. Here's the link http://www.dmcswim.com/ They are more expensive (about $65, but worth it, I think)
