Olympian Masters ?

I am looking for a list of Olympian Masters and what Olympics and events they particpated in. If you have such a list or know where one is, please let me know. Individual anecdotes are OK too. Background: I want to write to "Splash" magazine and ask them to feature some of the people on such a list when they write about great swimmers. I'm tired of reading (and having my kids read) about so-and-so great swimmer, who got to the Olympics, did great, and now swimming is behind them (i.e. they don't swim anymore). On the "mission statement" of Splash, they give lip service to a lifelong involvement with swimming, but they never seem to come up with an example of such a person. wiredknight

  • Fortress: Is there anything else that you have that you can contribute so we can end this. The picture and the time from the Texas State Championships has been very helpful. I assume that its Donna that is standing on the Number 1 platform. I don't really care about the English Channel stuff just the Olympic Trial/Olympics stuff that can prove the swimmer is an Olympian. That was a photo Donna gave me permission to take off from facebook. Donna is on the #1 block, as that was when she set the state record. I have a couple others. One problem is that Donna is in the Honduras, often does not have power, and her personal memorabilia are in storage in Texas. I'm not sure how much or exactly what she has been able to retrieve. Unfortunately, I think she cannot say more on advice of counsel, at this moment. I wish I could be more genuinely helpful. I am obviously not a swimming researcher and I'm not sure how much one can find on the internet. This is an old saved article from a meet in Mexico City from 1964.
