Does anyone else have a problem with low profile goggles blurring their vision slightly?
A couple years ago I bought a pair of open water goggles that were very low profile (I could actually feel my eyelashes touch the lens when I blinked). I didn't like the fit of the goggles so never really used them. I recently purchased a pair of Speedo Speed Sockets thinking they'd make a good meet goggle. I tried them out at practice today and although the fit seemed good I noticed the same slightly blurred vision I had with the open water goggles.
Has anyone else noticed this? I've got good vision so I'm used to crystal clear vision in goggles unless they fog up. For the record my usual goggles are Speedo Vanquishers. No problems with them.
I haven't tried any recent models, but went through trying many different pairs of goggles over the last ~5 years and I cannot find anything I like more than the Vanquishers. Nothing seems to match the comfort + vision + price
